      Without a CEL or some sort of other drivability concern, you won’t be able to get a dealer to address this. Im not going to say it’s normal, I haven’t yet had to monitor 2.5L fuel trims but, w/o a code set, I would feel fine. Not to mention if you have had them look at it for that concern already, you’re covered if something happens reasonably out of warranty.

        Common noises for what you describe on that truck;
        Hub bearing
        Lower planetary set in 6 speed trans
        Transfer case bearing (if 4×4)
        Rear differential bearing
        Tire noise
        I would get going to where the noise is fairly loud and throw the truck in neutral. If it’s the transmission planetary, that usually takes the load off of it and gets it to quiet down. Next, try doing gradual turns back and forth while it’s making noise and see if it varies. If it doesn’t change while doing all that, I would look more at rear end noise or tires.

        Yes, the alignment is fully adjustable on that truck ie; caster, camber, toe

          Oil consumption due to rings is a VERY common issue on any 07 Gen IV, we were doing sets of rings and pistons daily when they were under warranty. The first step was always replacing the driver’s valve cover and doing a piston soak with GM upper engine cleaner. That had about a 25% success rate if you wanna throw a Hail Mary.
          The shuddering while decelerating can be an engine mount (fairly common the driver’s side engine mount to break), torque converter if it’s a 6 speed and then there’s a bulletin that the V4 to V8 shudder can be normal if you rule out other causes.

            I went with the Snap On Ethos Tech for work and Auto Enginuity for home. Haven’t used AE much yet but damn I love that Ethos Tech. I’ve only found 1 thing it wouldn’t do (Nox Sensor Reset).

              1/4″ cordless gun. 4 years and still going strong with it.

                Yeah, the AE seems to be a safer and more cost effective alternative, I just can’t find anything on the web confirming that someone has had it work.
                I tried out the Verus Edge? off the tool truck, and it seemed to kick the truck into a regen. Supposedly, the latest updates expanding their coverage of diesels greatly according to the truck guy and a snap on rep.

                  From what I’ve gathered, its mostly about the software in a vehicle.
                  However, with everything needing to be reprogrammed or relearned after replacement, that could potentially extend to other facets.

                    Sounds like a fan clutch issue to me however, other things that can cause this;
                    Low coolant
                    Clogged radiator (feel the upper and lower radiator hoses when hot to see if there is a noticeable difference in temperature)
                    Or insufficient air flow through your condenser and radiator due to bent fins.

                      I can attest to the demand of working on light duty diesels, learn those and you can have a job anywhere.

                        Do your door locks ever cycle while driving? Silly question I know but, that’s a typical sign of a bad negative battery cable. There’s an updated cable for it. Also, a good cleaning of the mega fuse and applying some dielectric grease wouldn’t be a bad idea.

                          You can also get the stepper motors off of amazon or another retailer of your choice. They aren’t that bad to replace.

                            I definitely couldn’t recommend GM dealerships to anyone unless you have no bills. I’ve watched transmission overhauls go from 8-9hrs down to 5hrs on a RWD warranty. All warranty times have gone down but, I typically work on diesels and trans so that’s what I notice.
                            Congrats on the job though
